Squier JV CTC-55 '72 Telecaster Custom Reissue MIJ 1983 Black Vintage Fender Japan w/ Bag
This is a super cool 1983 made in Japan Squier CTC-55 Telecaster Custom that plays and sounds great! This is an earlier example as indicated by the JV serial number. This one was produced in the Fujigen Factory and is a solid replica of a '72 Telecaster Custom. A previous owner swapped the neck pickup for a Bill Lawrence humbucker which sounds awesome. These JV era Squier Telecaster Customs are quite rare, and don't come up for sale often!
This guitar is in nice shape for its age, but does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware also shows normal tarnishing from over time. The frets play great showing only normal play wear and the electronics work as they should.
The neck pickup has been swapped for A Bill Lawrence humbucker and the pickguard, pickguard screws, pickup screws, and volume/tone knobs have also been replaced. The DC resistance reads 11.86k ohms in the neck and 5.94k ohms in the bridge.
Includes the pictured gig bag.
